PLAN EH? PLAN BEE & PLAN SEA

I participated in the 'First Words' project run by Tutti Frutti theatre in collaboration with the Liverpool Everyman, Sheffield Crucible and Lancaster Dukes. The project explored creating groundbreaking new theatre work for 3-7 year olds and my resulting piece was 'Plan Sea' an interactive environmental piece for very young children which is now being developed into 'Plan Eh? Plan Bee and Plan Sea' which will play across the whole Primary school age range.

Commissioned by Yorkshire Forward and delivered by CHOL Theatre, SPACE CIRCUS toured Yorkshire schools from 2007 - 2010 promoting science through drama for KS2 and KS3 students. SPACE CIRCUS made the final shortlist for the 2009 Brian Way Award.

THE WHOLE NINE YARDS

THE WHOLE NINE YARDS was part of MOVING OUT a theatre project based on the real life experiences of Caribbean migrants coming to work in Nottingham in the 1950/60s. 'Moving Out' is one of a series of theatre and art projects conceived and researched by Lorna Holder, drawing on the memories of Caribbean community elders. This piece was inspired by men who took jobs as miners.

'The performance was excellent with a story I am aware of.  My parents came to England in the mid-50s and my brother worked in the mines in Nottingham' - audience feedback.

LIVING UNDER ONE ROOF

I acted as SCRIPT EDITOR for the development of LIVING UNDER ONE ROOF which played at the Nottingham Theatre Royal. The project was conceived by Lorna Holder and drew on the real life experiences of Caribbean migrants in Nottingham in the 1960s. The play received further development at the Hackney Empire.

'Tinsel Town' played at the West Yorkshire Playhouse as part of a BBC initiative with Everal Walsh as Tinsel, directed by Chris Yandell.

'Miss Dis'Grace' made her first outing at the Riverside Studios with Abigail Hercules as Grace, directed by Cathrine Meister-Petersen.

'Martin Beef and Johnny Cigarette' popped up at the Salisbury Playhouse, directed by Titania Krimpas.

'On the Inside Looking In' played at the Greenwich Studio, directed by Cathrine Meister-Petersen.

And finally, my playwrighting debut - 'The One Eyed Angel' played at the Southwark Playhouse, directed by Louise Linde.
